How much does professional visual identity cost?
Professional visual identity in Brazil costs between R$3,000 and R$30,000. Understand what separates the three service types.

Nobody likes answering this question because the answer exposes the market. So I'll expose it.
What's being sold as visual identity
There are three completely different products circulating under the same name.
- →Isolated logo: a symbol and a font. No process, no strategy, no system. Delivered in 48h or 3 weeks depending on the freelancer. Price: R$300 to R$2,000.
- →Basic identity: logo plus palette plus typography. No diagnosis, no complete manual, no application direction. The client receives files and is left alone. Price: R$1,500 to R$5,000.
- →Brand system: strategy before visuals. Positioning diagnosis. Identity built on a real problem. Usage manual. Application support. What actually solves perception. Price: R$5,000 to R$30,000.
Most companies hire the first or second thinking they're solving the third's problem. That's why they end up paying twice.
What determines the price within each category
Four variables define the value of any project.
- →Scope: just a logo or a complete system with manual, applications and asset library? The difference in work is 4x.
- →Process: is there a diagnosis and strategy before Illustrator opens, or does the designer start drawing right away? Process costs time and method. Without it, the client is paying for the luck of liking the result.
- →Experience: how many brands has the professional delivered, in which segments, with what documented results? Experience is not a detail. It's what separates those who solve from those who decorate.
- →Deliverables: what do you receive beyond the files? Usage manual? Application support? Editable file or just PDF? This completely changes what the investment actually delivers.
Why cheap often ends up expensive
Not an absolute rule. But a pattern.
A company that hires a logo for R$500 and redoes it 18 months later because the brand no longer represents the business didn't pay R$500. They paid R$500 plus the cost of 18 months operating with the wrong perception. Plus discounts given because the brand couldn't sustain the price. Plus clients who never came because the visuals pushed them away before any conversation.
This cost doesn't show up on the spreadsheet. But it exists.
The problem isn't the low price. It's what comes with it: absence of process, absence of strategy, absence of system. A brand made without process will need to be remade. The only question is when.
When it's worth investing
When the business is validated and generating revenue, but the brand can't sustain the price you want or need to charge.
When you lose sales to competitors with inferior delivery but a better brand.
When the current identity is limiting your ticket, authority, or the type of client that reaches you.
If the business is still being validated, it's probably not the right time. A strong brand assumes a clear value proposition and proven demand. Investing in perception before having a resolved product is waste.

Perguntas frequentes
How much does professional visual identity cost in Brazil?
It typically ranges from R$300 to R$30,000 depending on the tier: an isolated logo costs R$300 to R$2,000, a basic identity (logo, palette, typography) costs R$1,500 to R$5,000, and a complete brand system with strategy and manual costs R$5,000 to R$30,000.
What's the risk of hiring the cheapest visual identity option?
A brand made without process and strategy usually needs to be redone later. That rework, plus the lower prices accepted because the brand couldn't sustain its value, plus clients lost along the way, ends up costing more than paying the right price once.
What's the difference between a basic identity and a full brand system?
A basic identity is just logo, palette, and typography with no diagnosis or usage manual. A full brand system starts with a positioning diagnosis, includes a complete manual, and comes with application support, which is what actually solves the perception problem.
Is there a starting price for a complete branding project at FAMOSO?
Yes. The visual identity project respects your reality and your company's moment, with a proposal covering personalized scope, timeline and price after first contact. No surprises. The recommended entry point is the R$697 Diagnosis, which applies as full credit toward the project.
